Literature Text
Have you ever held a razor blade,
Up close to your skin?
Have you ever had a pool of lies,
In which you could swim?
Have you ever had a friendship,
Which you thought you would last?,
But when it was destroyed,
It reminded you of the past?
Because I have felt that way,
One too many times,
And no amount of happiness,
Can erase these lines.
Have you ever noticed,
That your blood is blue until it touches air?
And then the shade of crimson it turns,
Is so beautiful, fine and fair.
Behind my glasses,
Behind my eyes,
Something's there,
That I despise.
It is pain,
Remember that,
For the next time,
You call me fat.
Up close to your skin?
Have you ever had a pool of lies,
In which you could swim?
Have you ever had a friendship,
Which you thought you would last?,
But when it was destroyed,
It reminded you of the past?
Because I have felt that way,
One too many times,
And no amount of happiness,
Can erase these lines.
Have you ever noticed,
That your blood is blue until it touches air?
And then the shade of crimson it turns,
Is so beautiful, fine and fair.
Behind my glasses,
Behind my eyes,
Something's there,
That I despise.
It is pain,
Remember that,
For the next time,
You call me fat.
